Mr. Wheat’s diverse background includes expertise in Environmental Toxicology, chemistry, microbiology, medical device validation as well as software, hardware and prototype design. Mr. Wheat has been employed in both the government and private sector, most recently with Los Alamos National Laboratory where, holding several security clearances, he designed and developed classified instrumentation and software as well as was the Electrical Safety Officer for the Chemistry Division. During his employment there, he was instrumental in the development of the original Claro technology developed in collaboration with Los Alamos and received several awards for exceptional performance. Currently, in addition to providing support for Claro, Mr. Wheat designs custom circuit boards for clients such as Disney, Universal Studios, museums, universities and several government institutions. Mr. Wheat has co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific publications spanning topics in Environmental Toxicology, equipment design and software development. His broad experience enables him to view technical challenges from many different perspectives.
